Our Program
Our program is customized to the learning and work abilities of our participants. We know many neurodiverse adults have a very hard time entering the job world. Our program is designed to support your successful workforce experience.
Individuals: We offer 4-week preliminary program and an 8-week intensive program. The 8-week program offers onsite job shadowing, mentoring and assistance in finding a job placement in September.

Our Program Streams
• Gardening and Permaculture
• Animal Husbandry (Rabbits, Chickens and Horses)
Individualized Program over 3 days per week
• Small ratio of participant to job support worker (3 or 4:1)
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Overnight accommodations and healthy food
• Price: $750
[Optional: Transportation to/from Edmonton = $30 per trip]
Curriculum
Our curriculum is a combination of in-person, online and hands-on learning. In this program, we walk our participants through four categories of job preparation.
1. Job search skills
Includes valuable information on accessing organizations and individuals who are interested in hiring neurodiverse adults for their skills and talents. We look for shadowing and/or placement with both urban and rural location. We will also work to help create the ultimate “I’m Hired!” resume, find hidden job markets, goal setting, knowledge of career opportunities, and building a LinkedIn profile.
2. Communication
Includes training on verbal/non-verbal communication, conflict resolution, time management, and much more!
3. Computer skills for job readiness
Includes hands-on experiences with Microsoft Office, online job search sites, and professional software applications (Google suite).
4. Seminars and networking opportunities
We will customize any seminars and attend local events and job fairs for each participant. We will also bring in special speakers to discuss various career paths that our participants are interested in.
