Triple S Ranch & Market Garden is a non-profit social enterprise that contributes to the community and Alberta’s agribusiness. Our organization provides a creative solution to support the unique employment needs of neurodiverse adults, specifically those with Autism Spectrum Disorder [ASD]. It promotes personal growth and success on a safe, eco-friendly, sustainable ranch. You will support a team that will grow organic produce for the local community, businesses and markets. This role will provide essential administrative support to the Director and team, while also playing a key role in coordinating fundraising activities and maintaining the organization's website and digital presence.

Extension of Employment

Triple S may extend the term of employment based on funding. If funding is available, an extension of the employment term may be considered, based on performance during the initial term.
Working Days and Hours

Maximum number of hours per week is 30.

NOTE: You will start on June 30 because of the federal July 1 Canada Day holiday – This first week you will work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday.

Monthly salary based on an average salary of $16.75 per hour based on experience.

1. Demonstrate Professionalism

Awareness of individual’s behaviours and multiple environments and take action if an incident occurs

Attentive and proactive to potential verbal, physical violence in the workplace

Use de-escalation techniques to deal with challenging behaviours on a daily basis;

Assist, support, encourage basic living, social skills, academic skills, home living through modeling desired actions and behavior;

Assist and support individuals to build and maintain relationships through meaningful participation and inclusion

Support goal-setting and implementing goals while support planning for individuals
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. MANDATORY
-
High school diploma
-
Certification in Disabilities Support or similar certification, diploma or degree.
-
1-year work experience with young adults with disabilities either through volunteer, personal or work experience.

Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Intervention Check (Note: If you do not have these, you will need these documents on the Start Date of your employment]
2. PREFERRED BUT NOT MANDATORY EXPERIENCE
-
Human Services and Social Sciences, Community and Disability Support Services Diploma or student
-
Experience with adults with autism (any scale of the spectrum) FASD or ADHD
-
Experience in community or recreational activities with people with disabilities
-
Experience or passion for gardening
-
Experience in raising small farm animals (e.g. rabbits, goats, chickens)
-
Health Care Aid and Nursing certification
-
Class 5 Driver License and willing to obtain 2-million-dollar insurance
-
First Aid & CPR certified or equivalent
-
Food Safety Certification or equivalent
-
WHIMIS training
-
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
